hi all,
i have some doubt regarding the rollback segments. In my database, i have allocated 150 mb to the rollback segments. But after some time, only 1mb is free. It is not releasing the space, even after commit is complete. Right now , no transactions are being done. I even restarted the database, but the RBS is not getting freed up. Can u help me in this regard, how to get the free space.

Have you set an OPTIMAL size for the RBS segments ?

If not you can shrink them when there is no activity in the system.

even if you do have optimal set, it takes time before they shrink automatically.
