Hi guys,
Hope you can help me out, we have an Oracle database version 8.1.7 which is doing ok, we just had some time problems with clients (ie: query to a product give the error ORA-01843 not a valid month)this was fixed by applying the 8.1.7b drive. The query part goes okay now,but when we want to add a product, the database returns 01843 error to the client, does somebody know what this is and can help me out?

i dont get what u mean by "this was fixed by applying the 8.1.7b drive".
it seems that, you are loading the date fields in a specific format.
the defualt oracle date format is 'dd-mon-yyyy'
you can change this or play aroud in any formats.
look into using to_char date formats and to_date date format functions.

Well the strange thing is that after we upgraded the driver to version 8.1.7b the cliens don't return our date-errors anymore..so it resolved some bug..
