i am relatively new to the database tuning, kindly advise which books or manuals to read in order to efficiently tune the datAbase.
i had a word with few DBA'S and the took awr report but i cannot understand anything .
Kindly advice.

How to start learning on Oracle performace tuning, as i am new to this. I have little knowledge on DB creation, tablespaces.
What learning path should i follow to understand awr report and addm report.

I wouldn't focus on AWR or ADDM reports. Tuning has to be aimed at a business problem (a report takes ten minutes and you need it in 30 seconds, a screen refresh is too slow, the overnight batch jobs don't finish until lunchtime - that sort of thing) and an AWR report does not help you unless you have already defined that problem. Also, many sites have not paid for the licence you need to use it.
