I have windows 2000 advanced server as O.S. and 128 MB of RAM. At the
time of installation of Oracle8.1.7 I am receiving this error
message after Database initialization phase is started(at 90%). Tried
a no.of times,but could not install.
Can u please explain me the reason and suggest an effective remedy?

Dear Sir,
Your question was "did u allocate the virtual memory atlest 3 times of ram?".
Earlier the virtual memory was not 3 times that of ram.
But even after making it 3 times of ram,I am having the same problem in Installation,i.e "end of file on communication channel problem.
Please suggest me an way out.
