hi
when i am installing in a client machine which type is it client(oracle 9i) or the ordinary installation.what the changes i should made in the listener.ora and
tnsnames.ora

my listener.ora contains these thisngs what the additional things should be added

L1 =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = jels)(PORT = 1521))
)

SID_LIST_LISTENER1 =
(SID_LIST =
(SID_DESC =
(ORACLE_HOME = d:oracleora90)
(SID_NAME = jack)
)
)

No need to change the Listener.ora. U need to update the tnsnames.ora file with Service name and Host string using the port 1521 for DB Server.
