Hi All,

We have oracle 81700 on solaris 8 here. Recently I have noticed the error
ORA-27062: skgfospo: could not find pending async I/Os
in alert log and the instance is crashing. Can someone shed some light into this??

Thanks
Meg

Hi Meg,

Has error generated any trace files? If you scan through alert log file, with this error see if it recorded a .trc file. If so, please send the .trc file to my email id and we will go from there.

Thank you to both of you. I appreciate you both taking time to respond to my query.

Chakravarti,
I am in the process of collecting the trace and alert logs. I will email them to you soon.. I would really appreciate it if you can find a little time to go through them and let me know if you see any problem..

Sai,
I will check the solaris patch level with our Unix team..
I will followup soon on this..

Thanks again guys..

Helo Guys,

I think I found a patch that fixed this problem for us. We did several hours of testing after applying this solaris patch and looks like it is working. The solaris patch no. is 112254-01. We did have this patch already applied to Solaris 2.8 on this box but we did not set the system parameter that this patch requires. ie., set TS:ts_sleep_promote=1. Setting this parameter in /etc/system did the trick..

Thanks to both Sai and Chakravarthi for your help.

Meg
