Good morning,
I am trying to create a database in Oracle 7.3 with NT server as a operating system. I am having difficulty executing the script, the script runs however after completion I get ORA-01109 database not open. I aslo recieve the error message:
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE FAILED
ORA-00200 cannot create control file 'D:orantdatabasectl1.ora'
ORA-09200 sfccf: error creating file
OSD-04010: <create> option specified, file already exists.
Should I delete the control files from d:orantdatabase then run the script?.

Thank You.

use reuse option in the script, so that the the existing control files will be read.
or
delete the control file ( if the script creates a new one).

do you have another database using that control file?
i would check that before you delete or reuse.
