It is possible to edit the maximum size (currently varchar2(30)) of table and column names in Oracle9i? How to perform this?

You can modify the size of columns but not they name. You have to drop (table or column) and recreate it.

My doubt if relates to the possibility to increase the maximum limit of 30 characters for table and field names in Oracle9i. That is possible? That is, if I need to create tables or fields having names with more than 30 characters, how to perform this?
