what is the need of svrmgrl.exe file. How it work

May be U should try to read a little

svrmgrl server manager in text mode

use for maintenance

When you execute it, starts up the Oracle Server Manager command line utility.

It was de-supported in Oracle 9i (use SQL*Plus instead), but back in time until Oracle 8i, was used to perform DBA maintenance, backup/recovery. Certain DBA activities could be done only through this tool.
